the things to do right after oral exam

Christy called yesterday after my oral exam. Very random. She asked whether we wanna go out for dinner. Yes was the answer! Definitely! So, off we went. Hawker's Cuisine was not bad but the portion wasn't big. We then went to Utopia for bbt and basically just chit chat. A good time to catch up with friends after so long.

For some reason, I just did that.

I went out with my girl friends (Hsiu Li, Christy, Yee Fang) right after my test last Thursday. We went to Harbour Town and Carousel. It was a tiring day. Shopping doesn't seem to be as exciting as it used to be. There's nothing much to try on. I've kinda lost interest in the clothes in Perth. That's a sign of ageing, which is bad. Oh well, I'm not 18 anymore. I don't spend money on those clothes that I won't be wearing as often. Plus, I won't be wearing anything nice except on Mondays. The day which I have to go to uni for lectures and tutorials. You can find me dressed in black and white every Tuesday to Friday in the pharmacy. As if I'm attending some funeral ceremony.

Friday just passed like that, without saying goodbye. And here comes Saturday. A day I spent on grocery shopping with Yi Tyeng and accompanying Yijia to city. It was a good opportunity for me to catch up with Yijia since we've not met and chat each other for some time. This girl went home with plastic bags filled with different kind of products. Me? 2 bubble teas. One for myself and another one for Yi Tyeng. My 3rd bubble tea of the week.

I napped for a while when I reached home. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to sleep well because I heard my housemate talking SUPER loudly in her room. I forced myself to fall asleep again and yes, I managed to nap for another 10 minutes or so before I heard her talking again. Quite depressing, I must say. But all I can do now is to bear with it.

Time for me to sleep again. Haih~ Like what I posted in FB as my status: LingWeng Wong thinks that she's the only 4th year pharmacy student who never fails to relax herself during this easter break. Being too relaxed is not a good thing, especially when you know that you have lots of stuff to be done.

Just when you're emo-ing, your friends popped by and gave you a surprise. A bubble tea!!!!! Thank you so much, Yee Fang and Jia Huei!!!!!! You girls make me feel so loved. Jia Huei told me that it was Yee Fang's idea. Thank you, Yee Fang. ♥♥♥ Gonna drink it while studying Chemistry tonight. Once again, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥ I love surprises!!!!! =) Shall forget about Cotherapy and do my best for Chemistry. =D

my memorable 22nd birthday =)

I posted this in my facebook note to show my gratitude. Thank you soooo much for the special 22nd birthday!!! I'll find time to edit this and tell a more detailed story next time. =) In the meantime, enjoy......

it's my birthday today. i never thought of such a grand birthday before. perhaps some people think that i'm exaggerating. it might not be grand to the others but it is really grand for me. a birthday full of surprises from 12am of 15 september until now. i don't know what to say right now. i just wanna thank you guys for making my 22nd birthday such a special one!!!!! dispensary class is always stressful for me because i don't really know about those drugs and counselling stuff and i kind of hate it. but today it all went well. it wasn't that stressful and i finished earlier although still later than some people in my class. the birthday surprise at my house was absolutely unpredictable. i never expected a surprise on my birthday as yi tyeng told me about the dinner plan at hsiu li's house. so i thought that we're just gonna have a dinner with some close friends, which i thought was GREAT!!! well, i finished my chem earlier and came home to meet up with bel to get my pressie. woo~~~ i stayed in yi tyeng's room the whole to chat with her and bel. bel kept chatting with me in the room while YT went off and started to gather people in my living-room. when i was still chatting with bel, she suddenly came in and told me that there's a phone call for me. i was like ' is it my mom?' she said, 'i don't know. maybe it's the blood test thingy.' ok. so i went out and opened the door and TADA!!!!!! i saw my bunch of friends in my living-room and i shouted AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! hey, i was really shocked to see them ok??? i just thought of checking who's calling me at that moment. seeing my friends there, singing birthday song for me. it's really a BIG surprise!!!! thank you, yi tyeng!!! for making my birthday such a great one!!!! a lot of things happened when my friends were here hanging around. we took some videos of the process of hugging. hahahahahhaa!!! i watched the videos again and again!!! they're just soooo funny!!!! hahaha... omg!!! my birthday was just superb!!!!! after bel gave me the pressies that she's prepared, she went home and i returned to my room, replying all those fb birthday wishes that i got. it took me sooo long to reply each and every one of them. jessica then called me and we talked for 44.18 minutes. enjoyed the chat with you girl!!!! and then it was my dinner time. i never left my room since bel left my house. so i didn't realise that there's this sticky note on the door, asking me not to peep as my housemate is gonna prepare something special for me tonight. as i opened the door, WALAO!!!!!!!! i thought i just entered a 5-star hotel for my birthday dinner. everything was well-plated on the table!!!! cake, dinner, dessert!!! everything!!! omg!!! i really never thought that my birthday can be such a great one!!!!! i was really touched!!!!! i enjoyed the dinner a lot!!!! thank you sooo much for the dinner and gift!!!! to be honest, i almost wanted to cry when i was halfway eating my dinner. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING MY BIRTHDAY SUCH A SPECIAL ONE!!!! love you guys lots!!!!!! and the mini fireworks!!!! omg!!! yi tyeng, thank you for your effort!!!! seriously, if you were a guy, i'll go after you!!!!!! hahahhaha.... i'm not kidding!!!!! too bad that we're not L. hahaha... well, all i can say now is THANK YOU again!!!! to all those people who've made my birthday a memorable one!!!! especially you, YI TYENG!!!!!! you made me feel so loved!!!!!! thank you, bel for the pressies!!!!! yt told me you put a lot of effort in it!!!!! thanks to my dear friends who came for the surprise party!!!! siawtze, yijia, hsiu li, christy, yee fang, cheah yen, claire, richard, yie min, bryan. thank you to my my dear housemates who prepared such a sumptuous dinner for me!!!!! yi tyeng, chui ying, dolly, suk bing, wan ling, sandra!!!! how can i ever forget all the thing you guys did for me??? thanks to shane for the birthday gift as well. once again, i would like to say thank you to everyone for making my day!!!!!!!!!!

21st birthday girls

This should be posted on 1st September but there's some sort of delay due to some restrictions. >.<

I had so many things to talk about right now. Things have been piling up since weeks ago or should I say months ago? Think I'm gonna do it bit by bit. I think I'm a bit heartless for not posting a birthday post for both Jessica and Christabel on 8th September. So sorry. Both of them turn 21 this year. I think I did a great job by calling Jessica at 10pm (Perth time), which is 12am in Melbourne. I'm really glad that I'm the first to call her and sing her a birthday song. I hardly sing solo ok? Haha. Anyway, back to the birthday thingy. So, yea. I chatted with her for about 32 minutes. We laughed a lot during the phone call. I can feel that both of us were happy. I really enjoyed the chat since we've not been talking to each other for quite some time. Usually, we just chat in msn. It was a great night. I hope that it was a great birthday gift as well. Since nobody can give you a surprise at 12am, I'll do it! =) Happy 21st birthday, Jessica! Sorry for my terrible voice. Haha.

Next, Christabel. We gave her a small surprise that evening but she knew about it. She said that she could guess that there's something going on. That's fine. Lol. Perhaps it's kinda predictable. We then went to Tony Roma's for dinner. Their ribs are great! I would love to go there again although the price is kinda expensive. We were all bloated at the end of the night. Seriously, the dinner was excellent. I'm glad that the birthday girl enjoyed the night with us. =) I guess the most important thing is who you are with, not the number of people celebrating it with you. Happy 21st, Bel! Looking forward to the one week break. =)

I planned to say that there's no straight road in our lives. There are some bends that you''ll encounter during certain period of your life. There are always ups and downs. When you are at the down level, you'll always need someone to be there for you to encourage you unless you're strong enough to stand up by yourself. When you're at the up part of your life, you don't forget your friends who've helped you getting through the hardship that you've endured. That's the cycle of life. Ups downs ups downs. I got terrible result for my dispensary test. I felt sad about it. I complaint it to my dear housemate cum coursemate (YT) who is always there to listen to all my naggings. We talked about all those different kind of people in this world and we couldn't come up with any conclusion. Some time later, I got to know that my chemo result is out. My heart started to palpitate. ST told me not to worry. Tomorrow is a better day for me. Indeed it is. I shall keep my chemo notes away from me now. =) Is this some sort of Ying and Yang thing? I got both results for my tests on the same day but the results are so different form each other. They both balance each other out. Anyway, THANK GOD that I've passed! Thank you for including me in your prayers, thank you for blessing me, thank you for the encouragement and support, thank you for the misscall from Malaysia to wake me up to study for the test. This applies to anyone who've done their very best to keep me strong.

It's Christine's, Suk Bing's and Atikah's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I called Christine at 12am last night just to give her a surprise but she didn't recognise my voice. She thought that I was Jessica because Jessica will usually call her from Melbourne. Anyway, she was able to guess that it's me! Had a long chat with her. Gosh! I miss talking to her sooo much! We could have an endless conversation if I have more time to do so. I used loud speaker last night. My housemates said that they could hear me and my friend shouting at each other. Haha! We were just too excited! =P

I had a hectic day. The day was so packed yet meaningful. 8 of us ate together and talked for so long. Will talk more about Suk Bing's birthday celebration in the next entry. It was SUPERB!!! I'll get those photos from Amanda as soon as possible. She's got DSLR! Wooo~ Last but not least, happy birthday, girls!!! Love you girls lots!!!!

I'm in a good mood now. I was quite frustrated the whole day since the moment I woke up. Kept showing the moody look. Stayed in my room most of the time. Didn't have my proper lunch. Decided to go for a jog alone in the evening. Came home after 3 rounds of jog and took a shower. The moment I stepped out of the bathroom, something came across my mind. Why the hell I need to care so much about the things that are not related to me anymore? It's not that I still have feelings or whatever. Why should I care and think so much? OK. Got the answer! I chose to smile and be happy. I'm glad that I made that decision. I'm so proud of myself now. I feel that I've taken another step in my life. Yea! Ling Weng has grown up a little bit again today. =P I shouldn't waste my time and energy thinking about those stuff anymore. I definitely prefer the happy me who's seriously very rough, always talk and laugh out loud. Hope that guys won't be scared off by my loud voice and rough behaviour.

Perhaps some people think that I shouldn't react the way I did few days ago but I just did, ok? You are you and I am LW. We're different people with different thoughts and different way of handling stuff. Anyway, I wanna thank those friends who care for me and keep on asking me to smile. Some people are not used to seeing me without a smile. Everyone is like asking me to smile more. Definitely. I look better with a smile on my face, right? Tak tahu malu. >.< Whatever! Went to uni to do something this morning. So touched when you told me that you wanna buy me a piece of cake. Seriously, I didn't expect you to do so. You made me feel so loved. Ok. I know that I'm getting more 'geli' now. Hehe. Anyway, I seriously feel bad about getting the month of your birthday wrong. I'm really sorry. I promise you that I won't forget your birthday from now onwards. I was really touched when thought of buying me a piece of cake to cheer me up. I'm not sad, just frustrated. Although there's no cake available, I still appreciate your effort. I was really touched. Thank you. You're such a great friend. Had steamboat for dinner with my friends today. It's so hot in Perth, yet we organized something like this. Just wanna enjoy our Easter break together. Steamboat was great. Reached home safely and got a bit frustrated again but wanna thank you for being such a good entertainer. That long chat was really fun since you love to tell cold jokes a lot. Think that was the longest chat ever. Thanks for your concern. =)

I came across one of my friend's blog just now. He uploaded a video with some scenes shown in "Full House". Awww~ I suddenly miss the drama so much! I watched it for several times. Both Korean and Chinese version. I prefer the Korean version to the Chinese one. That's for sure.

I suddenly realised that quite a number of people really thought that the guy I was cursing the other day is in Perth. That's so wrong. I don't know why they have this thought but he's certainly not in Perth. Seriously, he's a jerk and he should not be forgiven. Some stupid people want some second chance. Hell no! Can't you even realised that it's so wrong to do something like that? Hurting people's feeling for so long. Babi you!

Anyway, my Easter break is here. So, what I should think of now is "RELAX" and "HAVE FUN". I'm going out for dim sum with my girl friends later. Shopping is the next plan. That's for sure. I miss shopping so much! I found out that Friday night can be really boring without friends around. Yijia came and we watched "My Best Friend's Wedding" together. What an old movie! Those fashion and hairstyle made me so sick! The story was so slow that Yijia fell asleep several times since she only slept for 2 hours the night before. I think we have nothing better to do since we had the television on and we were in the living room. After the super antique movie, we watched HK drama called "Emergency Unit" together. Just 2 episodes before Jia Huei came to fetch her. Nothing much to do after that so I ended up online and found that not many people were in the online list of mine. How sad! They must be having fun since it's Friday night. I then watched "Gem of Life" which is another long-abandoned drama in my laptop. Yijia said that it's not a drama that's worth spending time watching till the last episode. Since I've started to watch it, I'm determined to finish the 82 episodes. =P I shall enjoy my Saturday now. Tata~

First, I wanna complain about my Ceutics test this morning. Argh! I hate VC now because his lecture notes and questions in the test are like so different. I had difficulty in understanding and doing his questions. So confusing! So hard! Argh! I didn't know how to do those calculations as well. I think that this paper is harder than Cology. Now I prefer YC. I miss her. She's so much better than VC. Shall forget about the test for now.

I wanna congratulate my friends who got accepted for Honours!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!! So proud of both of you!!! SO happy for you girls!!! You're gonna be very busy after accepting the offer. Hopefully we still have time to pillow talk once a while like how we usually have. All in all, CONGRATULATIONS! =)

Let's talk about the midnight surprise, shall we? The plan began since don't-know-how-long ago. Yi Tyeng told me she had to accompany Yijia to Carousel to settle her bank stuff. I thought that I have nothing to do in Carousel so I didn't wanna follow. Few days later, she told me that she's going to Carousel again with Yijia due to the bank problem again. I needed to accompany Siaw Tze to see the doctor. So, I couldn't follow her to Carousel. On 13th September 2008 night, I went to talk to Yi Tyeng, as usual. It's Saturday. A time to relax a bit. She received a lot of call or perhaps she called some people. So, I'm so 38 that I went to ask her who called. Haha! Usually she won't ask me to leave her room unless I leave her room by myself. That night, after a short chit-chat, she asked me to go back and study since we will be having some tests the next week. I was like 'ok?'. Back to my room and I didn't think much about it. So, I continued to study for the upcoming tests. Suddenly, she knocked my door and told me there's something very 'geli' in the sink. I am that kinda 38 people. So, I really wanted to see what's in the sink. Thinking that it might be due to my disgusting housemate's art of work. Off I went! When I opened the door, I saw Jeng holding my birthday cake with the candles in the dark living room. I was like soooo shocked. Didn't expect that at all. I quickly turned back to avoid them seeing my surprised face. They laughed at me for being so shocked. LOL! I was indeed very surprised! Haha. They sang a birthday song for me, ate some cake, chit-chatted a bit. It was quite late. People had to leave. I led Weena to her car and when I went back home, Jeng, Hsiu Li and Venesy were gone. Too bad! We forgot to take a group picture together. Anyway, I had fun! Thanks for coming to my birthday surprise! Thanks a lot. Yi Tyeng, Siaw Tze, Yijia, Jia Huei, Claire, Candy, Yee Fang, Hsiu Li, Venesy, Jeng and Weena. =) Tricky Yi Tyeng. Planned everything so well. I totally believe in everything she said. Later, I remembered that she asked me if I like Paddle Pop Rainbow flavour ice-cream and I said yes. It tastes soooo good! Haha. That is actually a question to ensure that she has chosen the right flavour. If there's no cookies and cream ice cream cake, she'll need to get the rainbow flavour one. Yi Tyeng, Yi Tyeng! Great job! I seriously didn't expect anything. Just expect a normal midnight celebration on 14th September. She purposely made it a night early than 14th September. Seriously salute you, Goh Yi Tyeng! Thanks, girl! For all the effort! It turned out to be Yijia accompanying her to Carousel, rather than Yi Tyeng accompanying her to settle the bank stuff! Paka! That's all about my midnight surprise! clumsy + exhausted + happy me =S

Hurt my thumb today in Pharmaceutics lab. Argh! Clumsy me! I didn't realise that my thumb was bleeding until I saw something red on it while washing the slab. And it felt a bit pain at that moment. Initially, it bleed profusely but after a while, it just stop bleeding that much. I was really scared of blood before. Guess I'm ok with it now? I remembered there was once in Biology lab in Form 5 we had to do some blood test and my friend volunteered himself. When I saw him pricking the needle onto his finger, I was like "OMG!" and I cried [for a few seconds] because I thought that it was really painful. He then told me it didn't hurt at all. Of course. He's a tall and strong guy. Slowly, I calmed my self down and tried to concentrate on other stuff. I didn't know why I was afraid of blood but I'm getting better now. At least I don't cry anymore. =P Perhaps it's because I'm used to see blood on myself since I get some cuts very often. My thumb still hurts! Having some difficulty to write properly now. Handwriting is getting uglier with the injured thumb. Plus, I'm hell tired now because I wasted so much ATP making 6 creams in 3 hours. Hate using the spatula to incorporate the ingredients into the base on the glass slab. Have to clean the slab each time to make a new cream! So exhausted now!

When I came home, I ate my leftover birthday cake. Eating cookies and cream ice-cream cake makes me forget the pain that I suffered from my injured thumb. =P It's a cookies and cream ice-cream cake from Wendy's. I had cookies and cream ice-cream cake last year from Baskin Robbin's. Maybe that's why I want a cookies and cream birthday cake this year? LOL~ I love cookies and cream so much!!! Thanks, Yi Tyeng. For remembering that I love cookies and cream. Taste soooooo goooooooood~ Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! *muacks*
