christmas + boxing day

Had a simple christmas dinner with Yi Tyeng and Hsiu Li. The dinner didn't look grand but it was really VERY satisfying. I was bloated after stuffing so much food into my stomach. I could hardly move. Really enjoyed the night talking, stalking and laughing. =)

Baked pasta

Roasted chicken

Vege

Dessert made by Hsiu Li

White wine sponsored by me

Just the 3 of us

That's how I spent my Christmas night. YT and I cleaned the bathroom and living room after coming abck from Vickery with some stuff. How tiring. Boxing Day is another tiring day. I didn't buy anything at all for myself. Everyone tells me that there's a lot to buy on Boxing Day. One can spend more than hundred dollars in a day. I thought I would but I didn't, which is kind of surprising. What to do? The clothes that I like or want were all in BIG sizes. How sad! All I did were walking and trying to find something to try and buy. Not a fruitful day indeed. Well, to be honest, I don't need perfumes, cosmetics, etc as I have already a lot of them. It's good to save some $$$ sometimes. Hehe. Ohhh I bumped into Queena again. For the 3rd time since our summer break started. Such a coincidence. I've never bumped into the other coursemates of mine which I think is weird. I mean, Perth is so small. Really small. We could possibly bump into anyone, anytime, anywhere. Ahh.. whatever.

Anyway, I slept all the way back to my house. This proved that I was tired although I didn't feel physically tired. I'm fine with all this walking and window shopping because I'm used to walking for hours just to shop. I love window shopping. I love it more if I get to buy stuff that I love. We came home and had prawn noodle for dinner. We then had this apple berry crumble pie that I bought last winter. >.<>

p/s: My dear housemate forgot to unlock the bathroom door again. We had to brush our teeth and wash our face outside again. I really hope she'll not repeat this anymore.

my good deed for the day

Siaw Tze mentioned that her church is going to organize a program in which they will send Christmas gifts to the Third World countries. I never joined this kinda event before. I just felt like contributing something as well. So, I went to buy 2 gifts for 2 little kids. One for a girl and one for a boy. Hopefully they will be happy to receive the gifts.

This is for a girl. Pinky bear bear.
Hope she can feel some love from me.

This is for a boy. I didn't know what to get.
So just randomly picked a sports car which
I assume a little boy will to own one. =)

Bought this for myself. Hehe. I just it so much. So cute!

lost.forever.

What is gone is gone!
You were my precious one before. I'm sorry to neglect you just because I was trying out something new. I should be more careful. Too bad you're not in the family anymore. Each and every one of you are like my babies. Too bad, I have to get a new one which is identical to you. I wish that the person who took you away from me will suffer forever for the act of stealing. I swear he or she won't have a good ending. Yes! I'm mean! Whatever! I'm really sad that you're gone. Sorry that I have to find a substitute as soon as possible to get rid the sadness over your loss. Perhaps I should blame myself for being so careless and forgetful. Sigh~

Appreciate

What should I say now? Just appreciate the things around you when they are still there. You'll be terribly sad when you lose them one day. Like how I'm feeling now. I went back to Belmont [auntie's favourite place], hoping that the pair of boots is still there. The first time I saw the boots was like 3 weeks ago. 3 weeks can really make a BIG difference.

Those sizes that I saw today were size 8 - 10. I want size 6!!! I tried size 6 before and it fits me. Sob sob. I should have bought it last 3 weeks. I didn't buy at that time as I thought that it would be hard to match my clothes. However, when I saw the boots again just now, I thought, "Hmm.. it should be ok with my jeans." So, I tried to find size 6 but in vain.

I told myself that I've actually saved the money for other stuff. Hmm... Just trying to make myself feel better. Yi Tyeng also told me to get over it. It's just a pair of boots. I think I'll forget about the boots thingy after few weeks more perhaps? Whatever!!! I shall say goodbye to the pair of boots. I won't die without the boots. Life goes on, right? =)

3rd February 2007

I went to KL with my mom using MAS since I can claim back the money. Hehe! It was the earliest flight of the day. We reach KLIA and called Mr. Lee to inform him that we had arrived. So, he sent us to Malaya Hotel but we couldn’t check in as the rooms were not prepared yet. That bellboy or should I say bellman (he looked like more than 40 years old) asked us to leave our luggage in the lobby and he’ll take care of it. I was quite worried as all my stuff was there plus my laptop. I was super worried about my laptop. However, I couldn’t just sit there and waste my time in KL. So, we went to walk around Petaling Street. My mom and I bought a pair of jeans and shoes respectively.

After he had checked in to our room, we went to Times Square for shopping!! And Sungei Wang too!! My favourite place!! However, I didn’t buy much stuff as I couldn’t afford to stuff them in my luggage anymore. I kept on reminding myself that my check-in luggage should not be more than 20kg. This really prevented me from buying stuff to Australia. On the other hand, my mom bought a lot of stuff. Clothes, sandals, watches etc. I actually planned to pay for the watches. It as like couple watches for my dad and mom but my mom asked me to keep the money since I’ll be needing money when I come back to Malaysia in the future.

I was quite tired during the shopping. I know that it’s weird to say this for me but I was really exhausted. Perhaps because I didn’t get the chance to buy stuff that I wanted to buy. G2 was packed with ladies. The scene was like everything in G2 was free. We really had hard time moving around G2.

Done with shopping. We went back to our hotel. I watched Superstar that night. I was laughing loudly as some contestants were really funny. Some were really good. I like their voices. Slept quite late that day. I don’t really remember what time I slept but I know that it’s quite late by the time.

4th February 2007

I woke up at 8 something in the morning and went for breakfast. I didn’t eat as much as last time. I still remember the last time I went for breakfast in Malaya Hotel. I tried every type of dishes that were placed in front of my eyes except for baked beans which I really dislike. I even took a few pieces of bread, spread with different type of jam (strawberry, orange and butter). The bread was delicious. Love it!! I had both tea and orange juice that time but not this time. I only took a glass of orange juice this time. I took only a piece of bread and nasi goreng with mee goreng and scrambled eggs.

My mom and I began our next shopping spot which was Mid Valley and KLCC. Same thing happened. Packed with lots of lots of people. As if those stuff were free. We had our dinner in Petaling Street as we went back to the hotel earlier. I watched Superstar again that day. Super funny. I wouldn’t have any chance to watch it anymore. Kinda sad because I can’t watch those dramas again in Australia.

I had to sleep early that night because I had to wake up at 4 am the next day. My flight was at 940am and JPA said that we need to be at the airport 4 hours before departure time. However, I slept at 11 something that night. When I was watching television in the hotel room, I suddenly received Wen Jun’s call. We talked for about 12 minutes. 12 minutes and 12 seconds to be exact. It’s like a farewell call. My mom was asleep by that time. Think she’s tired and need some rest.
